Hmmm. In this poor old Beige G3MT, I have two ATA drives. the
"master" has three partitions, one of which is the OS 9 boot
drive. The second "slave" drive has 4 partitions, one of which
is the OS X boot drive. Both seem to work with no problems. I 
don't have anything else on the CD-ROM bus, so can't say much
about that.
