You are the second to say this about the drivers and I am starting now to think I have missed some steps that were open to me and better have a close see now. Appreciate the suggestion. Want to tell you before I try it as I am too busy now to start fiddling with the QS (once I start on these things, half a day is gone!) BTW, I only mentioned the backside to let you know the model if this helped. OK, also to boast about it as I am a big believer in the performance contribution of this feature and carefully resisted the temptation to get less! :) >> BTW, Why can't the hell I drag 9 system folders onto the hard >> disk (when started in X from the HD) and like that and then pick >> it in the startup, restart and bingo have 9? You remind me to try my scsi Adaptec card U2B (I did ask but no response if this card was used by anyone on a QS?) and some external HD where I have 9.2.2 operating - but done with the xpost facto thing... Still, I might be able to install 9.2. clean from a 9.2 OS install disk on one of these SCSI drives... I might have another go. David Elmo -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
