You are the second to say this about the drivers and I am
starting now to think I have missed some steps that were open
to me and better have a close see now. Appreciate the
suggestion. Want to tell you before I try it as I am too busy
now to start fiddling with the QS (once I start on these things,
half a day is gone!) BTW, I only mentioned the backside to let
you know the model if this helped. OK, also to boast about it as
I am a big believer in the performance contribution of this
feature and carefully resisted the temptation to get less! :)

All of this sounds right and sensible to my ears. And I want
what you have already. You remind me to try my scsi Adaptec card
U2B (I did ask but no response if this card was used by anyone
on a QS?) and some external HD where I have 9.2.2 operating -
but done with the xpost facto thing... Still, I might be able to
install 9.2. clean from a 9.2 OS install disk on one of these
SCSI drives... I might have another go.
