That's great, thanks for the quick replies guys. I'm not familiar with USB2 so not sure if I should worry about that.

As long as the package says the card is OHCI compliant, it should work
in your Mac, regardless of what the box states are the system
requirements. I have 3 that were not labeled Mac compatible that are
working fine in various beiges in both 10.2 and 9.2. All cards were
purchased for under $10, either at the local compusa or off of the swap
list.

You may be able to get a USB2 card for just slightly more.
