--- end of quote --- I tried to download your scanner's docs but kept getting a failure. You can search around in them and see if there is a default color space. Or check in the software to see if you can select a color space. If so, select srgb or Adobe rgb. I'm working on an os9 machine here at work so i can't use current osX software as I do at home. I couldn't tell how to detect a file's color space in Graphic Converter 3.x, though the newer version might have a way. In Photoshop 5.5 there is a menu item in Image/Mode called Profile to Profile. It tells you what the color space of the current image is and gives you choices to convert it to. If this tool exists in Photoshop elements, it will tell you what your current color space is and allow you to convert to srgb or what ever you want. The colors on the screen should not change after the conversion. Choose "perceptual" as your Intent. I hope this will solve your problem. Best would be to assure that your scanner is putting out the color profile your printer expects. Hope this helps. Rich -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
