I'm panning to upgrade my Molar from OS 9 to OS X. I've got a number of questions, perhaps some of you have the answers, or at least experienced

1. I was thinking that this 300MHz Zif wasn't going to handle OS X all
that well. I thought about upgrading to G4, say about 500MHz. But a friend
of mine freaked out, saying that Molars don't handle G4 very well.

That's wrong. AIO's have standard rev3 Beige Mobo's; they work with G4's quite well.

The major issue with an AIO and OS X is the inability to replace the video card; you're stuck with the relatively slow onboard video for the built-in screen. Not that big a deal OS X runs pretty well on even a 300 Mhz processor, I'm running 10.3 on a Clamshell iBook with only 288 Mb RAM.
