Does anyone have suggestions for special fonts (beyond those which come with Word or PopChar)... and which don't cause trouble?

Things like arrows, backwards letters, European-language letter/accent combinations etc.

Wanted for both OSes 9 and 10.

Zapf Dingbats is the ol' standby for symbols, as is Symbol, but with OS X those aren't 'special fonts'. Since OS X supports Unicode fonts, most or all of the fonts that ship with OS X have all of those built-in, since they can have > 16,000 characters.

You know, WorldScript is built into OS 9, too, so I'll wager you get extended charsets with OS 9 system fonts too, but I"m not a font maven by any stretch of the imagination.

There's no item called wordscript in my copy of OS9.2...

The one thing that there is not a shortness of in this world is fonts.
I would suggest googling Fonts. Try to stay away from no-name fonts, and
stick with the major manufacturers, such as Adobe.

I'll have a Google. Good suggestion re "name" fonts. I have heard that faulty ones can cause much grief. I don't absolutely NEED extra fonts, but occasionally would like something that I don't have.
