    The only other one I have used is Cinebench2003 - quite a long test
routine and not very well regarded as I recall...

    The best place to research that is in the PC sites - they usually do an
overclock as part of a review of a particular card and their recommendations
for limits are included. I think the rule of thumb for memory speed is 1000
divided by the speed digit which follows the ram reference number - so 5
would give a nominal speed capability of 200mhz - 4 > 250mhz - 3.5 > 285mhz
(some of the stock PC Radeon 8500's have 3.5 memory running at 275mhz) etc
etc. Though some graphics ram is better quality and may have a wider speed
latitude.
