All the recent talk on the list about video cards got me a little itchy for a new card. I sniped a Radeon 9600 pro from a G5 on ebay for $18. I found online that you can put tape over 2 of the contacts to make the card work in 4x AGP slot, which I have in my Digital Audio.

My question is, has anyone done this? More importantly, what kind of tape did you use? I would rather not cut the actual traces, incase the difference is not worth it and I need to sell it. But then again, since this card supports Core Image, it might wind up costing me $100, 20 for the card and 80 or so for Tiger.

Thanks,
Len
