More like demanding trouble. Few operating systems are designed to use HDs that are being used by another OS simultaneously. It's possible that if the drive were partitioned and each computer used a separate partition then it might work. Then you'd only be asking for trouble instead of demanding it.

That's assuming the drive would even work on both interfaces at once.
