I'm not real familiar with this route -- what would this entail?
Does this provide me an AppleTalked ImageWriter? I thought the IW
needed an internal card before it could do that (which also
provided an ethernet port). ??
I don't think the IW networking card provides ethernet, just localtalk.
You would need the AT networking card for the IW, and some sort of
localtalk-ethernet bridge. Someone was selling an Asante unit on the
swaplist just today for $25.
"Asante Micro AsantePrint for connecting your LocalTalk
printer to an Ethernet Network. Has LocalTalk
connector on one side and choice of three Ethernet
Connectors: RJ-45, Coax, and AUI. Includes power
supply."
This was from 'Dennis in Buffalo': <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
I use a similar box from Dayna to connect my laserjet 4M which only
has a localtalk connector to my home network. Works like a charm.
