A little off topic perhaps, but it is a problem on my B&W.

I needed to open a terminal window and become a super-user. I was prompted
for a password and rudely informed it wasn't the right password. What's up
with that? When I set up the system, I used my password.... the only
password I =ever= use and it isn't the right one???
Is there any to set up a password that I know and use?

It's this kind of thing that makes me loath to install X on my beige G3. I don't like the idea of an OS deciding what I can and can't do. It's my Mac, nobody else has access to it, and I won't have a hunk of code telling me how I can use it. It's too much "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that" for my taste.
