This is a very interesting point you're making Bruce.

With limited use time after switching to OSX,
I've already  experienced what you describe.

 I'm certain that with use comes familiarity and appreciation
yet I'm sort of caught in the middle and pining for the simplicity
and easy self-organizable quality of OS9

But, I've even considered buying a 1970's vehicle
so  could change the starter myself.
