Im curious to know if ECC memory will work in 2 different Power Mac
G4s. One is my Sawtooth. I tried some PC133 CL3 ECC memory in my
Sawtooth. I know that long ago ECC memory was not a problem in a Mac.
But this memory did not work in my Sawtooth and I am trying to figure
out why. Id also like to know if ECC is a problem with Digital Audios
because I have sold some ECC memory to a person with a Digital Audio.
If it wont work I will be refunding his money ASAP.
I know what is in the manuals for these machines so that does not
need to be told to be. However, the manuals both say to use unbuffered
memory and not buffered or registered. What does that mean and what
might indicate what kind of memory I have? If its just another name for
ECC Id still like to know if anyone has experience with ECC memory
working or not working in their G4s.

Thanks

Chris P
