OS X seems to use this, even though I've gone into OF and changed
pci-probe-list to fffbffff .
Am I doing something wrong with the setup or the OF settings?
Should the adapter on the on-board video be left on or should there be
nothing whatsoever attached tot he on-board video?
Do not have anything attached to the onboard video port. If you do,
your beige sees 2 monitors attached, therefore the Radeon is listed
second. I have a Radeon in a beige running a 21" at 1600 x 1200 in
10.2.8. I have nothing attached to the onboard video and the displays
preference pane only shows one monitor. I have not mucked with the open
firmware.
Just attach the kvm to the radeon, and the monitor to the kvm. Since
you have the monitor attached 2 places, your computer is showing 2
monitors. BTW, this is assuming that your monitor has a A/B switch for
2 inputs.
HTH and is somewhat clear.
