I have an Iomega 48x24x48 CD-RW/DVD that I am trying to get to work on my G3
400 mhz running OS 9.2.1.
How do I watch DVD movies with this. Apple DVD player v1.3, does not
recognize the drive. Is there a later version (for OS 9) or patch for OS9
that will allow me to use it to watch DVDs? I also tried to find VLC for OS
9 but could not.
Any ideas?

I had somewhat the same problem and then I ordered a new drive that
is a cd-r/rw and DVD-r/rw that had some software with it along with
the patch. You need the 2.7 version of the Apple DVD player along
with the 2.7 version of DVDRuntimeLib, You also need the rest of the
DVD ver 2.7 software from Apple and use Tomeviewer to get the stuff
you need from the installer Tome, such as,
DVD AutoLauncher
DVD Decoder Library
DVD Navigation Manager ATI
DVD Navigation Manager NV
DVD Region Manager
