Eudora recognizes an email as being HTML when it sees an actual HTML
header tag. That tag was missing from the sample Andrew posted. And
Pete's tags don't count.

He said that it had come through in readable form previously. Not some
messages, but THIS one.
That says to me, using your description of Eudora's operation, that the
ASCII portion, and the starting HTML header tag have gotten eaten by
something.
