I bought an early clamshell for my wife last December and it didn't charge.
Turned out the battery, which was supposed to be new, was at fault and was
replaced.

Now it doesn't charge again. I suspect the battery again, though it could
easily be the charger, which runs the computer, but I've been told they can run
it and not have the ooph to charge it. (True?) Or it could be the power
board.
I can check it with known batteries and chargers here at work though I haven't
yet.

So...is it likely that a lightly used new battery could go south in ten months?
Is there a way to revive one? Is there a cheap way to replace one (the best
price I've seen is over $110.)

Thanks,
Rich
