Arnel, I can provide some insight on the Canopus. I purchased the ADVC 100. I went through this same issue over a year ago. After all of my research, I found the Canopus to be the best value,w/the best features.
The "codec" in the Canopus provides the most stable, clearest conversion. I did not purchase the ADCV 50 due to the limit of input and output ports.The 100 provides analog and digital input and output. In my instance, I was looking for a "stand alone" box rather than a "card" converter. The Miglia and the ADS boxes were out of the price range I wanted to pay. Canopus does a fine job of providing "consumer" level hardware, up to professional level, Here is link from Canopus web page. http://www.canopus.com/products/videoconversion.php The only difference between the ADCV 110 and 100 is the newer box is Firewire powered. The 100 has a transformer. Here is a few ebay links.
