After my printer died recently, I was given an old laser printer, an
NEC SilentWriter LC890. It powers up when plugged in, and I have the
driver for it. What I need is a cable to connect it to my beige G3
running OS 9.2.2.
The back of the printer has three ports, one taking a nine-pin male
plug, one taking a 25-pin male plug, and one that looks like a SCSI
port. However, according to the specs for the printer, it doesn't
have a SCSI port. What it does have, according to the specs, is
Centronics I/F, RS-232, RS-422 I/F, and Apple LocalTalk I/F. (I
assume "I/F" means "interface.")
So what kind of cable should I be looking for, and where might I find it cheap?
TIA.
