Guess I should try OF from it too! :) --- end of quote --- Well Dan, I tried it again last night with the Logitec keyboard and the OF screen appeared on my second monitor, which may have been turned off last time I tried it. The command and option keys are reverseda t boot, but since you need both for OF, it doesn't matter. So no problem.
I used the three commands, got OK for all of them, and the only change I could detect was the loss of date. My monitor settings and positions were fine, network and everything. Apparently these are stored on disk or maybe some on the graphics card (?) Then I pulled the battery to test it (it was fine) and pushed the cuda. Same thing. No change in the odd boot problem, which is that it looks for, and will usually boot into os s9 rather than X on a cold boot, but goes to X on warm reboot, with startup disk set to X in both 9 and X. Oh well. Also, I'd hoped my Digital Audio would see the Quicksilver dual 800 processor anew and run the L3 caches, but this didn't happen either. Apparently the problem is in the DA ROM which predates L3, I guess. So until I get lucky and someone writes an enabler that will work in Tiger, my L3 caches (which could be enabled with software in 9 and Panther) are history. Oh well....
