Hi Justin et al.,

Hard to say without knowing the specs on the RAM.

My guess, from what I saw when I was looking for RAM for
my DA, is that
you get the high density RAM, where the DA needs low
density.

The DA needs RAM that fits the following specs:

Specs: SDRAM, PC133 =95 CL=3D3 =95 Unbuffered =95
Non-parity =95 133MHz
=95= 3.3V =95
64Meg x 64 / 32x8

Many of the cheaper sticks are not 64M x 64.

Where did you get the RAM and is there anything on the
sticks that describe a type/model?

End of quote.

The stick is "for VIA-chipsets" and what I've heard there
are no special "low-density" 512MB DIMMs, all sticks have
8 chips on both sides. This stick is CL-2, so it's faster
than CL-3, this shouldn't be a problem, though.

It says on the sticker on the stick:

Empaq 512MB PC133 Via chipset

and on the short side of the stick:

108x4 3.0

and on the individual chips:

Empaq

PC133 0542

64Mx4 SDRAM - 7.5 - T
