I used the MacOS 9 install disks from an old Ti PB 450 & iBook G3 500
(Dual USB) to set up numerous machines including my PowerCenter Pro,
9600, Wallstreet, Ti PB 550, B&W G3 and Quicksilver, and never had a
problem... Strange. That said, I don't really use OS 9 anymore and
the OS X disks are usually factory restore disks rather than real OS
installs, and those are very machine specific (Though my mini came
with a real Tiger upgrade DVD...)

Unfortunately, I've got a gray OS 9 CD that I'd ordered from Other
World Computing, back during the summer sometime, and now know that
it's useless for my beige G3. Just thought I'd bring this up, for
the folks that swear by Other World Computing for their Mac parts
source.
