Go to keyword "communicator" and download AOL Communicator. It works seamlessly with the standard AOL Email client. You can one, the other or both. The installed AOL Email client does not permit the use the plain text format necessary for the LEM lists. That is the problem. I'm not at my G3 with Communicator now but as I recall once you have Communicator installed, go to preferences and select "plain text" and you will prompted to enter the URL of the list you want to send plain text messages to. Communicator is "slicker" than the default Email client and has more features. IMO it should be part of the standard install. OR as an alternative -- (disclaimer, I have not tried this) You can set up OS X mail.app as an AOL Email client.
