I have a Mac G4 QuickSilver that has had it's share of problems since
purchasing it several months ago. The latest problem occurred after I
swapped hard drives into it from a G4 733 D/A. Everything went well --
it booted and ran just fine, and then, the next morning it was
completely dead. The power button lights when pressed, but goes off
immediately after letting go. There's no fan, no chime, no nothing --
it's just dead.

I don't expect anyone on this list to walk me through figuring out
what's wrong unless it's something simple and obvious. What I'd like to
know is if anyone knows where I might find publications that would be
used to guide a repair technician in troubleshooting a Mac G4. I don't
have a lot of sophisticated electronic diagnostic equipment but do have
the basics and enough of an understanding of electronics to sometimes
get myself into trouble.

Any suggestions, recommendations, cautions, or advice of any kind would
be appreciated.

John
