Never change a running system.... Besides, I have zero problems with MacOS 8.6 and it is running on three computers in the house, all without any problems. One of them is a Wallstreet which I tried updating to OS 9.x - it didn't react well to that attempt which was confirmed by an article in Apple's TechLibrary. So I downgraded to 8.6 again.
