I put a Radeon 7000 for Mac in my sisters Sawtooth several months
ago. Works flawlessly with Tiger & 9.2.2.
It needed a firmware burn, but that's easy.
My Nieces have noticed a speed increase when using iMovie, as well as
other apps.
