There are actually two versions of the retail 9800, one for 8X slots
which I think is 256MB, or maybe 128MB and the one I have in my QS
which is the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro Mac Edition 4X/2X which definitely is
128MB. This should be, AFAIK, the fastest card compatible with G4s.
Previously I had an ATI Radeon 8500 64MB and if you can find one of
those (highly sought after), or an OEM 9000, I'd recommend one of them
for your Sawtooth. That of course unless you plan to play some game
that requires muscles. Also keep in mind that the R9800 is quite
expensive.

BTW, I love the R9800, my bottleneck is the CPU now, only 800MHz, sigh
...
