Well, heres my situation (if you don't already know). I had a Sawtooth which I destroyed the motherboard. So now Im building a new G4, consisting of a QuickSilver case with a Digital Audio rev 1 motherboard. The last part I really need, the motherboard, is on its way to me. However, I am told that the modem was not included. Will the modem from my Sawtooth work? I have thought that these modems were machine specific until I saw a listing on eBay, a G4 modem kit for Sawtooth, Gigabit Ethernet, and Digital Audio.
Yes, several of the G4 Towers. Bronze Powerbooks and iBooks used the same modem.
I acquired a G4 Digital Audio without modem, and taking a risk I installed the modem from my Pismo into it. It works, but I had to set the G4 to use the V.90 instead of the V.92 modem driver.
