able to get os 9 loaded no issues, reinstalled in ultra66 card, and flashed it with the latest firmware from sonnet. But went i was trying to install Tiger it would boot to the CD, but about 5 secs after bringing up the blue screen, the system would power down.

So messed around with the ultra66 again, then it happened again. The system wouldn't start, no chime, no screen, resetting the CUDA doesn't work.....does this sound like a flaky mb?

Tiger install really really really really hates 3rd party hardware. The readme says to remove it all before trying to install...

On my B&W, I found that after trying to install Tiger with a 3rd party SCSI card installed, the B&W was dead. Only way to bring it back was to pull the PRAM battery for a min.
