i ran memtest without issues.....it boots fine into mutli-user mode....

I had that problem with bad RAM in my BW that I swapped out the
motherboard with a Yikes G4 PCI motherboard 400 G4 / 60 GB HD / 512 MB
RAM / Tiger 10.4.4
