Does anyone have a setup where they can use one keyboard, mouse and monitor between a Mac and a PC? I need to have access to both but I don't have room on my desk for two separate systems.

I'm looking at getting a USB KVM switch, anyone know if this will work?

Any suggestions?

I use a Linxcel 4 port USB KVM switch. Connected to it is a Lacie Blue22 monitor, an Apple pro USB keyboard, a Logitech 4 button wheel mouse, a G4 MDDP firewire 800 Dual 1.25 / tiger 10.4.4 , A Yikes G4 400 in a BW case / Tiger 10.4.4 , and two PCs running XP pro. After the PCs are booted to the desktops, there are no signs of any problems. However, during install of XP, I have had to bypass the KVM switch with ps/2 mouse and keyboard until XP was fully installed. During the installs , it seems that the generic drivers are not sufficient enough to recognize the KVM routing . I tried it with most all Apple hardware from the Dual 2.0 G5 tower down to the BW G3, an ibook G3, iBook G4, Powerbooks G3 and G4, Pentiums 1 thru 4 running 2k, ME, and XP home and Pro.

I hope this helps you .
