Sorry about this, I messed up the quoting and forgot the monitor... 

I turn on a PC (when I really have to...) only when my Mac is turned off, as it 
connects to the same screen via the VGA port (the Mac goes to it via the DVI - 
I have sometimes wondered what would happen if I had both PC and Mac on and 
switched the monitor between DVI and VGA, yes, my Dell LCD has this switch on 
the front panel and goes also to S-Video... But have not been game to try it. 
Should I? In fact, now I think of it, is this a built in KVM type switch?
