My boss says today "Why dont you take one of those old Macs sitting
under your desk and make it a print server?
I have a G3/300 - ZIP - CD-RW - it has Ethernet, 2 USB ports and a
parallel port
We have a USB'/parallel HP LaserJet 1300 that came with some type of
parallel-port print server dongle thing, a USB Epson Stylus Photo
R320 and an HP 2410 Photosmart all-in-one USB printer
Our network is mixed, with -so far - a G4 Powerbook and B&W G3/350 -
both running OS X 10.4.4 - and 4 PC's running XP Home and Pro
Where do I start with turning the Beige G3 into a print server -
should I install Linux on it?
