I acquired a dirty Apple Pro keyboard some time back and after some Googling found that others have for years cleaned keyboards in the top rack of dishwashers. It worked great for me. No detergent. No heat. I pulled mine out before the dry cycle (recommended). Shook it about a bit and left it dry for three days. During that time I periodically turned and shook it. I'm typing this with it. No need to disassemble. Just make sure the cord stays on the top rack.
