That seems to be because Yahoo has chosen to create a Windows-specific interface for their streaming media online that all but says "Mac users are sh*t out of luck". It seems to me they would have had to go out of their way to make this so, since OS X can handle virtually all standard streaming formats with the correct plug in (WMV, etc). That aside, I would hardly call Yahoo media "most video clips".
