Kevin Rauer is having issues with his Revision 1 B & W Smurf Machine. Vicki Duggan posted:

Have you tested the memory for an incompatible ram stick as that is
what has been wrong every time i have moved the mac i have up an os
as OSX is picky.

I will second her point. I have a Revision 1 Smurf, too and had fits until I swapped out the cheap $25 OWC ram sticks with pricier, but more compatible ones. Too bad, because the OWC stuff was not only inexpensive, but have worked fine in my Beige and Rev 2 Smurf. I also have some other, non-ram related issues with my Rev 1. Like crashing while I'm importing CD into iTunes and some other things. Doesn't seem to be an issue with the Rev. 2 ( it just doesn't like my Iogear USB 2.0 card. . . but, that's another story. . .). I'm hoping to retire the Rev. 1 soon and sell it cheap.
