Be sure I'm fully aware of this. Re-read my post again please. > The usual process of trouble shooting is to set Extensions Manager > to boot with "OS 9.2.2 Base" and work your way up from there, adding > a few at at time until you get the "hang" again. Fun. Yep, tried all the "well-known" tricks. Setting to "OS 9.2.2 Base" or " OS 9.2.2 All" or "Whatever setting" and restart-> no problems. BUT: Shutting down and start-up will produce the flashing q-mark. Only trick: Hold down Shift key till the smiling Mac appears (for this will happen now!) AND IMMEDIATLY LEAVE the Shift key now! BEFORE! the window with " OS 9.2.2 Extensions Off" appears and there's a perfect running Beige G3!! Hey, hold on: Just running in an e-mail from an other list about this, saying: < Using a 17" LCD-screen connected to Beige: < Boot with screen powered off. < Wait for around 25 sec. and power screen on. < You must get now a normal start-up. Well, scratching my bald head, I'll try this when I visite my client. But again, anybody having any clue?? TIA, Jo Hissel -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
