I have been thinking of updating the processor and
I've noticed that some require the firmware which is
4.2.8 now. How can you tell what firmware you have?
OWC said to look at the bottom of Apple Profiler but I
don't see anything that would be a firmware report. I
have booted into OS9. Also, some of the earlier
reports of updating the firmware appear to be pretty
bad, particularly in regards to memory. I did use DIMM
1st aide and the memory checked out ok. I don't see
the same reports with firmware update 2.8.
