Jodi Magness has confirmed to me that she indeed did
authorize the statement attributed to her from Goranson
and that the statement indeed is in response to the current
paper online at bibleinterp.com.
In an email forwarded to several archaeologists and
copied to me, dated June 10, 2004 (and following confirmation
that she has seen the current paper and is referring to the
current paper), Magness writes:
"I disagree with nearly all of his research."
Magness states that she has neither "time nor inclination" to
engage specifics.
