Still I'd recommend to follow the revised reading of Wacolde/Abegg_ tarbiz
60. 1990/91, pp 285-286 in E. Qimron_Concerning the Blessing over King
Jonathan_Tarbiz 61, 1992/3, pp 565-567 - i.e "guard over" instead of "arise
on behalf of" in Martinez_DSSE, for the text implicates no "talita kum"
uprising atmosphere, but a blessing for the prolongation of the status quo.
Exactly this is the position of J. Maier in Die Qumran essener: Die Texte
vom Toten Merr, vol. II, Munich 1996, pp 525-6.

BTW "wickedness" is the consequence of rejection of revealed "truth" - the
denial of authoritative Torah directed by a Doresh ha-Torah.
The Menahem the Essene anecdote is well-defined as paradoxography; Menahem
typologically anticipates the job Nostradamus did later for Sixtus V.: to
welcome a future ruler already as such - and that is, sorry to say that,
perfect rubbish.
