Regrettably, Jeffrey does not care to explain his thesis of angelic 'holy 
ones', inter alia based upon Theo Gastner's The Dead Sea Scriptures, 
Doubleday, NY 1956/60, pp. 408f.. Be that as it may, I have reviewed Gastner's 
analytic index and his (as well as Garcia Martinez') translations of the DSS 
quotations. My first sad impression is that one perhaps better should keep 
one's hand off this thesis, simply not to cut the ground from under the own 
feet.
