And it is a momentary thing.  Well the cheaper part.  The bigger bit
is a fact that will stay true.  As far as I can tell, PATA drives only
go up to 750 GB and are not going to get any bigger.

However, on the price front, the 500 GB Seagate PATA is now $70 ($69)
with free shipping at Frys.com.  So it is now cheaper than the $77
SATA version of the drive, rather than the other way around.

On the other hand, the 1 TB SATA drive is $149 with free shipping.
