I forgot to mention that the Software I used to burn the Label was 
the trial version of "DiscLabel" and it put a two copies of the 
watermark: "36pt Demo and  18pt Disclabel.com" on the disk. I am 
guessing at the size of the Watermark characters. The label print is 
18pt Geneva.

The watermark is not as dark as the Label characters but must account 
for some, if not, most of the 17 minutes burn time.
