Thanks for the tip but I still don't have it working. Verizon is so helpful. Tech support said I don't need a login name or password ( I don't seem to if I just use the dsl modem) they also know my router works with their system but they won't help me because it's not officially on the "list". Seemed straight forward. You need just your username/password. Configuration of the router is often particular to the router, but I think the key parts are to set "keep active" for lease, and DHCP automatic for the connection.
