Normally Nannies do not put people on moderation secretly. We will frequently place on moderation first then tell a member why they are being moderated because the reason for the moderation is something that we have to nip in the bud before it goes too far. Some examples of why we moderate first then tell the member: Sending an off topic message or spam to the list, whether by accidentally including the G-List address in the cc field or a compromised email account. A flame war erupting. Rude or abusive language. Please note that all nannies are volunteers and sometimes we have to take action and before we are able to send the email explaining why, we may have a customer or a fire to put out at our job. This email is NOT an invitation to discuss Nannying on the list. If you have any questions, email one of us off list, or the LEMlist ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) is open to discussions of the lists. As far as delays, the original poster is not on moderated status, therefore, the "fault" is most likely in gmail's or the original poster's servers (cox.net). Remember, gmail is still considered "beta" by Google, even though Google's definition of Beta is their own and not what most people consider the meaning to be.
