OK folks, I've got two 500gb drives, an SATA card, and a 4 port USB card on its way here. Should be here Tuesday.
'twill be nice to have a fresh system install. This machine came with Jaguar I think, then I did a Tiger upgrade the Leopard. My address book hasn't opened since. My plan is to keep the current 120gb in there for the time being. I will install Leopard on a new 500gb and start reinstalling apps as needed. I want to make the 2nd drive into a bootable backup. Is SuperDuper the best choice? I currently use ChronoSync but it won't will make a bootable drive yet. When I first researched it I was only keeping my work folder current between the desktop and laptop and it is wonderful for that. But it chokes at times on certain file permissions and I can't afford to let that happen anymore.
