I also have verizon dsl ... and they have been dropping my speed by  
almost half from time to time for the last month or so ...

We might need to call them and have them assign a better ISP URL or  
whatever its called, to re-assign us to the better service.

Terribly annoying ... and somewhat "verizon".

All I need to do is turn off the modem ... wait about 20 seconds and  
start it back again. The connection usually moves back to top speed  
864 / 160 ...

But a call to verizon tech service wouldn't hurt ...
