Hi Just to add my tongue into this. I have Firefox 3.0.3 (updated last night) and running 10.4.11 and Java is running fine - haven't noticed any Java problem with any release of Firefox 3.
I have tried all 5 betas prior to official release too and not a Java problem in these. I'm trying to get you to dig in and provide properly thought out details so that someone here can help you come up with a solution, or at least nail things down enough to provide a properly detailed bug report. "Properly detailed" is the key - it is what will get a developer's attention. Overcoming the "worksforme" flag is NOT easy. So... again: IF you're not seeing that, then I would suggest you dig deeper in your own Mac. Do you have an overzealous (ad) blocker running? A corrupted cache? Try a different/new user account. Try the beta. etc.... Also... Have you changed any of the Java Preference settings? Have you done anything else that would interfere with Firefox using Java on your Mac? Remember... things DO work right for others. So there MUST be some difference on YOUR setup. It's that difference we need to nail.
