I hope this helps, I recently sold a powermac G5 dual 2.0ghz after  
trying to run windows via VirtualPC 7 (last version they made) and  
found that windows apps run, but not very well. If I was making your  
decision, I would get the 2.0ghz mini without question. I too am a bit  
envious of the mac pro crowd, but ended up selling my G5 and cinema  
display to purchase a new macbook... good luck in your purchase. Jeff
