Try this:

1) boot in safe mode and see if you can look at the logs; hold down
the shift keay as you boot.

2) Are there drives attached to the FW/USB card? Disconnect them and
see of you repeat the KP.

3) Yank the FW/USB card and see if you can repeat the KP.

Also, I'd run Memtest, bad memory is a chameleon, it likes to look
like problems with other hardware bits.

Long ago, incompatible RAM caused the internal SCSI chain on my PM7600
to stop working when I put in a G4 upgrade. Seriously. Pissed me off
no end, too, I bought a new MoBo, which also didn't work and caused me
to put the supposedly broken G4 upgrade on the shelf for a year, until
I got some new 128Meg dimms that also didn't work, but worked just
fine on their own. After laboriously testing all combinations of RAM I
had, I discovered that some old 32 and 64 MB modules were incompatible
with the new DIMMS.

On a hunch, I put the G4 cpu back in...worked like a charm.

Bad memory isn't just bad, it's evil.
